The Residence

26 Carré d'Or Monaco

26 Carré d'Or Monaco stands at 26 Avenue de la Costa, in Monte-Carlo's Golden Square, just steps from Place du Casino. Reportedly completed between late 2019 and 2020, this 19-floor tower of around 60 metres holds only nine apartments, making it one of the most selective residences recently delivered in the district. This article covers its history, its architecture, its amenities, and what sets its property market apart.

Introducing 26 Carré d'Or Monaco

26 Carré d'Or Monaco occupies a tower that rises to around 60 metres across 19 floors, at 26 Avenue de la Costa. It stands just steps from Place du Casino, the Hôtel de Paris, and the Café de Paris.

This position, at the heart of the Golden Square, makes it one of the most central addresses in Monte-Carlo. The boutiques of Avenue des Beaux-Arts and the district's Michelin-starred restaurants sit within walking distance.

History of 26 Carré d'Or

The site at 26 Avenue de la Costa previously held two separate buildings. The first dated from the 1900s, the second, known as La Floride, was built in the 1950s. Both were demolished in 2015 to make way for the current project.

Developer Groupe Segond commissioned Monegasque architect Alexandre Giraldi to design the new building, with interiors by Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet. Construction was carried out by Vinci Construction Monaco. The building was reportedly completed and delivered between late 2019 and 2020, depending on the source.

Amenities at 26 Carré d'Or Monaco

26 Carré d'Or Monaco pairs contemporary architecture with amenities that sit closer to hotel-style service. The lower floors house commercial and office space, while the upper floors are reserved entirely for residential apartments.

Architecture by Alexandre Giraldi

The building's entrance carries Art Deco references. The tower itself follows a largely glazed contemporary design, with wide motorized sliding windows that open, depending on the apartment, onto views toward Monaco, the sea, and the Casino district. The interiors, designed by Humbert and Poyet, combine marble, exotic wood, and home automation.

Concierge and wellness space

Residents have access to a double-height wellness space, reserved exclusively for the building, with a heated indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a hammam, and a fitness room. The residence also offers a 24-hour concierge, security with video surveillance and trained staff, and secured elevators reserved for residents. Of the nine basement levels, six are dedicated to around 60 parking spaces, one is technical, and the others house the wellness area, among other uses.

How are the apartments at 26 Carré d'Or laid out?

The residence holds only nine apartments in total, a scarcity that sets 26 Carré d'Or apart from most buildings in the district. The ground floor through the third floor are reserved for retail and office space.

From the fourth to the seventh floor, four apartments of around 400 square metres each occupy a full floor. From the eighth to the fifteenth floor, four duplexes of around 800 to 820 square metres, terraces included, complete the residential offering.

The top four floors, from the sixteenth to the nineteenth, are reserved for a single penthouse. This quadruplex, covering around 1,650 square metres with close to 875 square metres of living space, includes a private rooftop pool, a private elevator serving all four levels, six dedicated parking spaces, and a cellar, with a 360-degree view over the Principality and the sea.

Prices and the property market at 26 Carré d'Or Monaco

Given the very limited supply, some units at 26 Carré d'Or Monaco may be marketed confidentially or on request. Prices and sale terms vary by unit.

The Golden Square is not tracked as a separate category within official IMSEE statistics. Industry professionals generally cite indicative levels of around 70,000€ to 90,000€ per square metre for the most sought-after addresses, and higher still for exceptional apartments.

At 26 Carré d'Or, the small number of units, the quality of the amenities, and the large surface areas mean valuation has to be assessed case by case, with no public statistic specific to the residence. Sale terms may also be handled selectively, given the limited number of apartments across the entire tower.

Which apartment at 26 Carré d'Or Monaco fits which project?

Are you looking for a single-level apartment occupying a full floor? The four apartments of around 400 square metres from the fourth to the seventh floor offer an alternative to layouts spread across several levels, with clear views over the district.

Are you looking for a layout spread across two levels? The duplexes of around 800 to 820 square metres, located from the eighth to the fifteenth floor, terraces included, offer this two-floor distribution.

Are you aiming for the rarest unit in the building, designed as a residence in its own right? The penthouse occupying the top four floors, with its private rooftop pool and 360-degree view, stands as one of the most singular penthouses in the Golden Square.

26 Carré d'Or Monaco stands as a recent residence that is particularly selective within the Golden Square. Contemporary architecture, structural scarcity, and hotel-style amenities come together to form a sought-after address in the district.
